About Me

Bio

Hello my names Mike and I came across this forum from googling addictions. I am 24 years old and have been using marijuana as my escape for the last 12 years. I guess I was in denial and never saw myself as an addict. Its good as far as curing my depression goes, but to a guy like me that has been smoking it everyday it became destructive. It really sunk in when I pawned my guitar off and amp for hardly anything just so I could get pot. I miss playing but it's something I already did and its too late to change that now. I think smoking it half my life has lead me to a darker place. I forget most of my child hood because of starting at only age 12 and it makes me sick to think about toking up as a little kid. I sometimes wonder what direction my life would be in if I had just said no I don't want to try marijuana to my friends. Maybe I wouldn't have dropped out of highschool? I feel like the last 12 years of my life has been a waste and I don't want to feel like that anymore. I want to better myself, get an education, and make something of my life. I am going to change and I hope that I could give advice to kids someday about how terrible for you pot really is.
