Rehab Centers
Click on a state below to find a list of Rehab Centers in your area:
Rehabilitation centers function as an addict's first stop on the long road to recovery. Patients reside within the facility 24 hours a day, guided by regimented, personalized programs.
A full service rehab center provides initial patient assessment, supervised detoxification (if necessary), and individual and group counseling under the direction of a full range of medical professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, addiction counselors and therapists. They may provide specialty treatment programs such as anger management or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Outpatient programs may be integrated with the residential treatment programs, but the primary focus is on the resident patients.
Primary rehab centers may be federally funded, private, non-profit, county- or state-run. Patients commonly stay around 30 days, and at the end of primary treatment, some facilities offer transition to halfway houses or extended care programs.
