I do think that your body becomes physically addicted to the nicotine inside of cigarettes but there also is the fact that I liked the social aspect of smoking when I used to smoke. I would do it after dinner or at a bar with a bunch of friends. When I would even smell smoke it would trigger good thought sin my brain because I associated smoking with fun times.

I think they work in tandem.

I think they work in tandem. Of course there is a social aspect, but the nicotine creates withdrawal symptoms that exacerbate the social and mental pressures.
