Medical Treatment for Eating Disorders

It is not uncommon for anorexics or bulimics to be treated with drug protocols involving antidepressants such as SSRIs (selected seratonin reuptake inhibitors). However, these protocols have neither shown any encouraging consistency with regard to actually treating the disorder nor preventing relapse. Consult a physician for more information. However, much more research is necessary in this area.
