Hey everyone. New here. I wanted to share a quick story. I have been a pretty avid smoker for about 10 years. Started mostly because of work issues. I just went to a friends 40th bday party. His dad was there. He is 65 and had been smoking for 30+ years. He now has emphysema and walks around with an oxygen tank and has trouble breathing. It seems as if he is gasping for breath every few seconds. My heart goes out to their family. But seeing that first hand really was an eye opener. I guess we all know what smoking can do but I never really saw that first hand. I decided I need to stop. People say the first step is to set a quit date. I am doing it. This Friday. I am not sure how but I want to change. Start exercising again etc. Just thought I would share my quick story. Have a nice night,

I wish you much success!!!!
Sometimes when we only see it do we believe it.
That's certainly scary! Sometimes it takes seeing something like that to sway us from the path of addiction.
