20 years and going

I have been smoking for about 20 years now. I have definitely tried my fair share of products to quit. Most of stuff found at different sites linke quitsmoking.com. Seems to work for a bit but then I get stressed with work or family and hop back right on it again. I have to say that I am no fun when I stop smoking. Im back to about a pack a day again. ANy thoughts out there? I looked and say chantix and zyban on this site. Im not sure if I have anything to lose at this point. Anyone?

Thx

I really think different things work for different people. I was a smoker for over 10 years and was able to stop with the patch. I have had other friends who have quit cold turkey. I think it really depends just like the nature of any other addiction. I believe you need to speak to a doctor about chantix or zyban and see if it is the way to go for you. Have you also tried attending support groups or counseling? That reallly helped me along the way.

Alternative Methods to quit smoking?

I definitely agree with the above post. Different methods work for different things. For me it was all psychological. Before I got engaged to my wife I quit. I knew she hated smoking and so I wanted to start off our marriage on the right foot first. Maybe try acupuncture or hypnotherapy to quit smoking.

I think Juice Feasting and meditation really are the best.
