I was prescribed Clonopin two years ago. I took it at first for PTSD, as folled by the doc. Then life got a little more stressed. I began taking them by the handfull....4,5,6, and so on, up to 10 (with alcohol) has been my highest because NOW, it takes THAT much to take effect. Now in 2008, I lied and convinced my doc (diff doc) to prescribe them to me again. Then he stopped. I have a friend who sells them to me.
I withdraw after a day or two without them. Am I really an addict??

I think on if the clear signs in your statement is the withdrawals. Your body and brain have become accustomed to having the chemical in your body and when they are gone you go through withdrawals because you are dependent on them. I am not a doctor but I would have to say that many of us have been in your situation before and would consider it an addiction.
thank you for answering
