Crack

Any ideas on getting off the stuff ?

Ain't that a shame, I would

Ain't that a shame, I would have thought there would be a whole host of replies.

Tho I am cut I am not slain, so I shall lie down and bleed a bit and rise to fight again another day.

unfortunatly there is really

unfortunatly there is really nothing out there to ease the low of a Crack or Coke detox. The best suggestions I can give to you are:
Get yourself an awesome support system such as family and friends who are clean.
Leave old habits behind such as people, places, and things.
Make lifestyle changes, take a class, learn a new trade, pick up that long forgotten hobby.

As I told someone else on here, the mind is its own place and in itself can make a Heaven of Hell or a Hell of Heaven.
You are strong and have the ability to survive and accomplish anything. Good Luck and remember I have faith in you! You can beat it!

Well nothing like the soft

Well nothing like the soft soothing gentle touch of a good nurse, and you know it's the best most honest straight forward answer I have gotten yet, no sugar coating, just the reality of it. But to the good nurses dismay, one day I will have a more permanent solution. If you would care to help, please send you story to recoveredcrackhead at yahoo dot com.

Yo Larry.... I am (was)

Yo Larry....

I am (was) uncharacteristically a "crackhead". I had to go out of my way to get this way. From the burbs to the streets.

It was on the eve of my 38th birthday. Wrong time, wrong place, wrong emotional state, wrong blood-alcohol level. I guess you could call it a "perfect storm" of factors.

I figured I was invincible. I had a successful career and an education. Driving a nice car, owned a nice house. Going through a painful divorce. Made some bad decisions and got introduced to the stuff.

As soon at it hit my system, all my hurts disappeared instantly. I thought I had found a new best friend. I thought crack would get me off booze. Thats how messed up my thinking was.

Long story, but I am now a few years clean & sober. Crack nearly took everything I had. Glad to say my program of recovery is gaining much of it back. And giving me many new things I never had in the first place.

I am new the myaddiction.com but will see ya on the boards and blogs moving forward.

Ciao.
