I am a former coke addict that has been in recovery for 14 months. I was on coke for 4 years. Got progressively worse. Lost my job. Lost my girl. Decided enough was enough. Been in CA ever since. Thanks for listening.
always glad to hear some good news.
If I may, to what do you attribute your success?
What I am asking is specificly what worked, how and why. Thanks
Regards,
Larry
I actually remember it well. My girlfriend had left me about 2 weeks prior. She had always threatened but never did. I came home and all her stuff was gone. No note nothing. I didn't care at the time. Kept partying. I kept going for 2 more weeks. My final bender was 4 days long. Can barely remember what I was even doing. All I remember was I woke up in a random house. Stumbled to the bathroom. Looked at myself and it all came down on me. I looked nothing like I used to years ago. I used to be in shape, had a job, a girl. You name it. I don;t know why but I called my dad. It was like 5am. He came picked me up and went to rehab. Toughest weeks of my life. Started going to CA and have not looked back. I am thankful my dad stood there with me. I know it can be done. Not easy. But it can be done.
I agree. It was very inspirational. I too had something similar happen to me. It was hard, but after it was done I thanked G-d that I had to go through it.
