What does it mean to be sober

I have been sober from alcohol since April of last year. I was an alcoholic for 10 years. I have been sober and have not or do not plan to have a drink.

I come across people that I have met in AA or other meetings that say they are sober but have a social drink once in a while. What do you all think? Is this good?

I am not sure about alcohol but I have been a meth user and am trying to get off. I am trying to get to a place where I never use ever again. To me that is sober

Sober Choices

I think sober means--sober choices. Straight and thought our life choices.

What does it mean to be sober

Sober means: sober in my mind and heart, which leads to a life of clarity :lol:
