Dealing with Anxiety

Hey All,

I seem to be having a lot of stress at work taking on new projects. I am still going to my AA meetings but I wonder if I should slow down at work. There have been a few projects that have not beeen going well and I wonder if I should talk to my boss about me slowing down. In my past stress has lead me to drinking and I can feel it coming on again.

Has anyone else dealt with this at work? What did you do?

Dealing with stress and other things in life are all part of recovery. This is normal to all of us. Just try to take it easy as not to push yourself to a relapse. Keep going to your meetings and try to ease off in other parts of your life.

Thanks. Thats what I thought. The last thing I want to do is have something drive me back to where I used to be.

You must constantly evaluate things in your life that can drive you out of recovery. Thats why I did and constantly do.

Work is not as important as you recovery. Definitely slow down if it is causing you unneeded stress.

If work is a source of stress it should not be your number one priority. Remember you need to heal yourself within. Find the true you. If work is masking this ovre it will cause you inner torment and draw you back into your addiction.
