i recently found out my spouse has been smoking crack once a week mabey more for the last five years (yes i feel very dumb for not knowing) he has stopped for the last month. now he has heart palpitations an i am scared is this normal? will this go away??
Since my husband kept if from me for 2 years, I would be willing to bet that yours has been smoking it a lot more than he's telling you. The more they do it, the more they need the high, it takes over their life and soul and they can't help it, it's a disease. Mine started out as snorting for the first year, then it turned into smoking this past year. The things that he has told me since he's been clean will forever be emblazend in my memory as the most awful nightmare imaginable. I don't believe that he's being totally honest with you and won't be able to until he seeks professional help. From all that I've read and what I learned at my husbands family IOP rehab meetings, you cannot quit without out help. Be careful and protect yourself (financially especially!!) at all times!
