Usually people use body mass index:
Divide your weight in pounds by 2.2. This will give you your weight in kilograms.
Divide your height in inches by 39.4. This will give you your height in meters.
Now square that number. Example: (65" divided by 39.4=1.65)(1.65x1.65=2.72)
Divide weight number by the height number squared. That is your BMI.
Below 18: Underweight to Anorexic
19 to 27: Healthy
28 to 39: Overweight
40 and up: Severe Obesity |

If you are thinking about how to eat as little as possible, a lot of the time; if other ppl seem to tell you that you are too skinny, all the time; if you place a higher priority on maintaining your body weight than most anything else in life, and the other 2 apply; you are probably anorexic.
I was anorexic before it was really talked about much. I lived on air and diet pills for the most part. I could tell that my stomach was larger by looking or feeling it after I'd eaten the smallest bit of food. I wasn't a compulsive exerciser, which helped me to think I was fine, but thinking back, for as little as I actually ate, I did get a lot of walking in...
Just my experience. |

NOT A STUPID QUESTION!!!!!!!!! DONT EVER DOUBT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
before I was confermed an anorexic I thought I was being healthy... thats right healthy.
Sure I was thin,
sure, most other people didn't burst into tears because they ate birhday cake,
sure I had a feeling something wasn't quite right, (my new found obsession with food, exercise, weight, ect.) but I guess i read one to many magazines featuring a weightloss artical or something because I assumed every one else was this obsessive about food as well. Well that's how I justifid it, It was more of the dooms day "It could never happen to me" thinking. If you ever have an incling that something might be off get help as soon as possible. You might be able to stop the problem before it destoies your life. |
