Chocoholics: They Are Not Only Damaging Their Diet

Usually, a chocolate addict does not only crave for chocolates and then is satisfied with 1 or 2 bars. It actually goes further.

Chocoholics are those people who need chocolates in order to feel better about their selves. Chocolate binges come after one is feeling horrible, depressed, bored or anxious. Studies showed that chocolates increase the production of endorphins in the body; endorphins are certain chemicals that naturally exist in our bodies and what they do is make the person feel happy.

The physical dependency to chocolate begins when a person feels good after eating a certain amount of chocolate, thus, wanting more of it the next time… and they cycle goes on. Therefore, the chocoholic is not only gaining more weight and damaging his healthy diet, but is also gaining a bad habit that would probably stick with him until he manages to let his willpower be in control.
