Bleak future for smokers

Heavy smokers have an increased risk of coronary heart disease (CHD). The more cigarettes consumed, the higher the risk of the heart ailment. It is even worse if the smoker started at a very early age. CHD is also just one of the diseases that is partly caused and aggravated by smoking. Smoking has certainly reached a point in our society wherein it is one of the common medical causes of death. Addiction to this substance is definitely fatal.

The addiction to smoking has been ever growing because cigarettes are a legal substance and available anywhere. Even kids sometimes have a way of getting them. People should be educated through more awareness campaigns on the chronic diseases they could get from smoking. It has to be emphasized what they are getting in return of the ‘high’ smoking gives them. Because even if smokers feel totally healthy, they will certainly experience, pain, discomfort, and deteriorating health in the future.
