Understanding Addictions: Part 2

The influences that happen upon many people are often taken from the people that are around them. Many people are very easy to influence and when placed in a certain setting for a long period of time, it can almost be a definite that those influences will be spread from person to person. Addictions can work much like this. Addictions can be formed from the very environment that we live in. Everything in the world around a person can be a deciding factor as to whether or not they become addicted. The very stress from the world can make a person do almost anything. An addiction is often the result of a way of dealing with stress or learning to cope with a particular situation. It does not matter how small or how large a person’s problems are. It is almost a guarantee that if the person does not find a “healthy” way to relieve the stress, they will soon find an addiction.
