Tanorexia

Well it may be something that is hard to believe, but there is actually a labeled addiction for tanning. This addiction to tanning is called Tanorexia. It might not be the well-known addiction that is out there in the world, but it is an equally bad addiction. The problem with tanning too much is that while you may be thinking that you are getting a wonderful tan, you could also be destroying your skin. Too much tanning can cause a tremendous amount of damage to the body. The search for the perfect tan often leads to more and more problems. Tanning too much can cause a person to have leathery skin. On top of that, you have to wonder about the kind of UV rays that are going into your skin. You are getting a higher concentration of the UV rays (much like the sun) and risking the possibility of skin cancer.
