Two men who have survived addiction are trying to help others find their way to recovery.

Recent statistics indicate that there are 23.6 million Americans who suffer from Alcoholism and/or Drug addiction of which 33% are unable to find suitable addiction treatment.

Tim Cheney and Adrian Hooper are summer residents of midcoast Maine, and have created an extensive on-line resource for people looking for help and treatment for alcohol or drug addiction. Each man has his own, personal story of a battle with alcohol, drugs or both. They have both been in recovery for decades, and say that experience led them to create Chooper's Guide. Their website is designed to be a comprehensive listing of all the treatment professionals, facilities and programs in the county.

The primary mission of the site is to help the still suffering addicts and alcoholics find addiction treatment and recovery before they die.
