How to spot a make-up addict?

How do you know if someone is just fond of buying make-up products or is addicted to it? The following tell-tale signs will help you find out if you or someone you know is addicted to make-up-

  • • Feeling compelled to buy make-up products
  • • Spending most of your shopping time in the make-up aisle of stores and buying products you know you don’t need.
  • • Hoarding make-up products
  • • Spending hours reading beauty magazines and day dreaming about owning and using the make-up products advertised in the magazines.
  • • Buying make-up products even when you can’t afford them.
  • • Owning drawers and drawers full of make-up products
  • • Feeling inadequate when you can’t buy the latest or the most fashionable make-up products
  • • Feeling incomplete when you don’t have any make-up on or being paranoid about anyone (even your husband or boyfriend) seeing you without make-up.

If you or anyone you know shows these symptoms, you should consult a counselor as soon as possible.
