Getting Over Plastic Surgery Addiction

Each of us would want to improve one or two of our facial or body features if possible. Our society's interpretation of beauty has lead to a lot of people to ask for the help of cosmetic surgeons to alter their features to what they perceived to be beautiful. But beware, even though having plastic surgery is not bad at all, that one or two surgeries have a tendency to be addicting.

Plastic surgery addiction has been controversial worldwide. Statistics show that two thirds of those plastic surgery patients are return patients. Medically it shows that plastic surgery addiction may be caused by a hidden disorder called body dismorphic disorder, where a patient have an exaggerated concern over the imperfections that they see in their body.

If you think you are on the border of being a plastic surgery addict or you know someone who is, better seek help immediately. Stop while you can, inform your plastic surgeon of your seemingly increasing discontentment and start taking counselling to help you. The first step is admission and recovery will be easier.
