EFT Tapping to Cure Addictions

I tried to understand, I did. But I just did not get it.
I went to this site, which is supposed to help people stop drinking or smoking.
http://users.telenet.be/immobilien-restaurant/eft-tapping-points/eft-tap...
The instructions say simply: We have created several slideshows so you can use EFT while watching pictures related to your problem. OK. I was imagining completely disgusting pictures of folks with lung cancer and throat sores – sort of a “scared straight” approach. Now let me say this – I do not smoke. I have smoked. I actually liked smoking, though I’ve never smoked more than a pack in my lifetime. I know I have an addictive personality and if I let myself smoke occasionally, I’ll smoke often.
The pictures were photos of cigarettes and lovely women smoking them. It made smoking look if not glamorous, then at least appealing. I don’t get it? Did Phillip Morris put it together?
Maybe if I want some pictures to remind myself why I don’t smoke, I’ll just look at this video of UK reporter Jon Henley takes to the streets to find out if shocking images will inspire smokers to quit:

Or these damaged lung pics:
