Causes of Addiction – Part 2

Social causes of addictions are actually very common, but the physical causes of addictions are even more common than the social. Physical addictions often form from a person’s view of themselves. There are a number of guys who become obsessed with body building simply because they are worried about how they will look to others. So the guys may spend all day every single day in the gym, pushing their bodies to the limit. For women, the physical addiction can be in the form of a problem with eating. Weight loss is predominantly the addiction that forms from a woman’s physical cause. A woman’s self-image of herself is constantly being tested all around her, so the need to form a way of living up to society’s standards is bound to lead to an addiction or obsession. For both men and women, physical addictions can form easily and can leave you fighting a serious battle over control.
