Addiction denial can be Fatal

People tend to be blinded to a specific problem that is affecting them. Friends and acquaintances may already have told them about the mess that they are in. These people may think that the person is way too proud to acknowledge that he/she is in deep trouble. However, before we rush into condemning the person let us look at the issue from their point of view.

Let us put the situation in the problem of addiction. There are a couple of denial issues that we need to consider in people who are hooked into any form of addiction. The primary concern is the inability of the person to see that is into a mess. The addict may never notice that he is already addicted. He/she may only see it as a simple way out, a simple expression of rebellion and not as addiction per se.

The sad thing is that since they are in denial, they will continue to be exposed to the harmful effects brought about by the chemical. In the end, it is the denial that has denied the person of the most needed help. Let it be a warning, then, that addiction denial can be fatal!
