Could You Drink Water Only for the Next 40 Days?

Can you make water your only beverage for 40 days?
Why would you? Well – you can, and keep trackof the money you would have spent, and at the end of the 40 days, donate what you saved to support local water projects in Uganda.
I know – it’s a big commitment to not drink anything but water for 40 days. But from February 17 to April 3, that's exactly what we're asking you to do. It's a lot easier if you do it with other people like your friends or family.
By giving up what you'd normally drink in exchange for the water from your tap you can save that money to help build clean water projects for communities in Uganda.
To be clear: we're not asking you to fast for 40 days. We're just asking you to ditch the morning coffee and o.j., leave out the lunchtime soda, and cancel the evening beverage in lieu of clean water from the tap.
Print out a scorecard at http://40days.bloodwatermission.com, keep a copy of the on you to tally the drinks you would have normally bought as a part of your daily routine, or the drinks you feel you might have otherwise bought. Then enter this info and the amount of money you saved onto your online profile to watch your progress.
By sacrificing your daily routine, you will make a difference in the daily routine of a person in Africa.

During your 40 Days get the word out about what you’re doing. Tweet and Facebook your friends. Blog or video moments from your experience. Print these cards to give out at places when people ask you why you’re drinking only water.
It’s easier to do this with friends. Ask those you spend the most time with to take part with you. You can also ask people to match your donation, drink per drink. Have your matching partner register through the “Donate” link on your profile page, so that they will be reminded at the end of the 40 Days.
After April 3rd, your donations can be handled online by clicking “Donate” on your profile page, or anyone can send checks to:
