Kids with high IQ have big tendency to suffer drinking addiction in adult life

A RECENT study has shown that kids with higher intelligence quotient (IQ) have big chances of getting addicted to alcohol and liquor some 20 years later.

The University of Glasgow in Scotland conducted the research on children age 10 years old wherein they discovered that those who have higher score in mental test end up drinking more liquor in adult life.

The result of the study, which was posted on the American Journal of Public Health, also showed that most high IQ kids who end up with the drinking habit are women.

Dr. David Batty, a member of the research team of University of Glasglow did not however said they did not categorically discovered the exact cause why kids with high IQ ends up suffering from drinking problems in the future.

The result is indeed an eye opener to all that having children with bright minds is not guarantee that person will have a great and alcohol free life in the future.

The findings should be use by parents around the globe to closely monitor their children with great minds so that they will not end up a drunkard in their adult.

The key here is to have an intimate relationship with your kids and to teach these young children on the value of healthy living away from the clutches of liquor and alcohol.
